I’ve done a lot email marketing. Like, a lot. For both B2C and B2B clients and brands, ranging from complex flows to targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) campaigns which have generated six figures in revenue.
Though I can’t share most of these campaigns due to their proprietary nature, below I’ve shared a few campaigns from my clothing brand, bubuleh, that show some of the unique ways I approach email marketing.
For these campaigns, I used old-school, text-only campaigns to create a personal relationship with each customer and improve deliverability rates with completely unconventional subject lines and nostalgic references designed to evoke emotion and drive action. Though this strategy wouldn’t work for every case, it certainly did for this one.
